320 Mbps Home Networking Specification Released
HomePNA 3.1, our latest home networking specification released in December 2006, increases data rates
over existing home wiring up to 320 Mbps. HomePNA 3.1 specification helps service providers to simultaneously distribute triple-play IPTV, voice and Internet data services as well as other networked entertainment
data throughout the home. HomePNA also released the HomePNA 3.1 certification specification in December 2006 to support certification testing of members’ products.

Providing Multi-Spectrum Operation
HomePNA 3.1, operating over coax cables as well as phone wires, provides multi-spectrum operation, and adds
VDSL coexistence to the ADSL, POTS and broadcast TV channel spectrum coexistence provided by the HomePNA 3.0
specification. Multi-spectrum operation also allows multiple HomePNA networks to coexist on the same wiring.
Offering Standardized Security and Stability
HomePNA 3.1 enhances the HomePNA 3.0 specification, which was standardized by the ITU
in May 2005. The ITU, which operates under the auspices of the United Nations, is one of the world's premier standards
organizations. The standardization provides access to the technology, security and stability to service providers and
manufacturers who deploy HomePNA-enabled products and services to the market.

“Version 3.1 ...boosts speed from 128 Mbps to 320 Mbps:
It's now technically the fast symbol rate of all home-networking standards.”
Wi-Fi Net News
“With up to 320 Mbps data rates, HomePNA home networks can accommodate the future
bandwidth requirements of service providers as they enhance their offerings with additional
features and capabilities.”
